EBPA Japan Mission Connects US Exporters and Japanese Importers, Remodelers, Builders and Architects

During the June 22-25, 2015 EBPA/State of Washington trade mission to Japan, US companies met with over 150 Japanese importers, builders, and architects.  The group participated in seminars in Saitama, Tokyo, and Nagoya.  Seminars in Tokyo were held jointly with displays at the Japan Reform Fair.

The group also participated in roundtable discussions with members of the Imported Building Materials Forum, the Imported Building Materials Association (importers), the Imported Housing Industry Association (association of builders), and JERCO, Japan's oldest association of remodelers and designers.  Representatives from JERCO presented information about Japan's remodeling industry and a representative from Japan's Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Tourism, and Transportation, the government body that manages housing policy in Japan, gave a presentation about Government of Japan plans to encourage home remodeling and pre-owned home sales in Japan.

The presentations are available below.
